Life Events - notes for the Bride and Groom

Instead of just wedding advice, I saw somewhere that these were made for the happy couple a note is written for such events as birth of first child, loss of a parent, loss of a pet, child's graduation, empty nesters, (burning the dinner - good idea to include $ in that one, to order pizza), 1,5,10,15,20,25 and 50th Anniversaries etc..

I coordinated the paper to match the wedding, I will have guests select the event then seal the envelope with the coordinating seal, cards can be kept tidy in the cute little basket. How precious will this gift be years from now - when you open a card from your long past relative/or friend.

Catching up - We want to sing

I had been busy crafting all fall and winter however, some of the projects did not make it to the blog... Imagine that!

With both kids in college I find I have plenty of time to make things and craft, I should work on getting my blog updated frequently.  For now Enjoy.....

This wreath was made for a long term choir sub:  one of my favorite songs the kids sang: We want to sing.

Explosion Box

I used Cricut cart mini albums to cut box lid and flaps.
George and Basic shapes for note squares
I made the cake box on my own then added jewels, not quite done but well on way.

Wedding crafts Abound...

I have not got to the blog lately because I have been working on projects for my boss and my niece who are both getting married this May.

Wow is it stressful to work with white sculptey clay especially when someone wants the project for their wedding cake topper! Due to the handcrafted and nature of clay and white being a natural magnet to every piece of dust in my house, these do have some imperfections. They are very close to what was requested and that is the most important. The only problem and perhaps not really a problem is that they are getting more choices since I have crafted the birds in several mediums, some are still drying

More wedding stuff

Finished the shower invites, boxes for bridesmaid gifts, labels for jars and another couple of do-dads, I'd post but honestly I do not trust my niece anymore not to take a little peek. (Seems the confession of unwrapping her Christmas presents then taping them up again so her mom wouldn't know, implies that she would peek here too!)

Cyndals gift

Yesterday my daughter saw a project and said "mom, I want to make this for Cyndal", translated will you buy the stuff and make this for me to give to Cyndal.  As any good mom would do I bought the stuff and it is done and ready to be wrapped!

Cricut carts used:
Creative memories - Devine wedding for the font and numbers
Love Struck - 2010 limited edition cart for silhouette
I used my gypsy to remove some of the silhouette fluff.
The background is wasi patterned tape
Then I also cut a grey border to break up all the white
Square frame from Joann's

Wedding card and monagrams

It has been awhile since I have updated, I have many things to share.....

Wedding doings - my niece is getting married May 17th, since she is my god-daughter I have to make a few special things for her:

300 monograms for her programs - cut and done.

Wedding card - just about done.  I found the idea in a magazine for a cascading card, bought the magazine and have since been planning in my head and not putting into action.
